After you submit your order, I will design your quilt label(s) and send you a picture so you can approve the design.  Upon your approval, I will stitch out your labels and send you a picture and an invoice.  When I receive your payment,  I will send you labels to you as soon as possible.

The form below allows you to order up to 3 quilt labels.  If you would like to order more than 3, please submit an additional form.  (Or…if it’s easier, you can just drop me an email! – kayla@patchworkriver.com)

Labels start at $12 per label.  I do my best to keep the price at $12, but it depends on how much information you want to include.  I use $1/1000 stitches as a guide in pricing, but of course, if you aren’t familiar with how many stitches it takes to embroider a particular design, that won’t mean much to you.  I will usually stay at $12 for anything up to about 15,000 stitches.

When I send you a mock-up of your design, I will let you know if the price will be more than $12 – that way you can choose to make any adjustments if you don’t want to spend more.

I try to keep the stitching within about a 5″ square.

Here are some ideas of what you can include on a label.  If you want to include something that isn’t listed here, just ask!

• • • Maker(s) (e.g., “Made by Kayla Petty” or “Pieced by Jane Smith, Quilted by Kayla Petty)
    • Recipient (e.g., “Made for Jim Smith”)
    • Date (e.g., “November, 2022”)
    • Location (e.g., “Priest River, Idaho”)
    • Title/Pattern Name (e.g., “Meadowland Quilt”)
    • Saying or Verse (e.g., “Merry Christmas,” “Happy Birthday,” “Wishing you many years of happiness,” Bible verse, etc.)
    • Images (e.g., a flower, snowflake, corner design, etc.)
    • Frames (e.g., a square, rectangle or circle around the text – perhaps with flowers or other motifs)

Below are pictures of a few labels I have made for myself.  I have several fonts available.  During the design process, I will try multiple fonts, and I am always open to hear how you want your label to look (e.g., formal, fun, script, for kids, etc.).
